You’ll get up early to have breakfast before heading out for a game drive transfer to Ngorongoro Crater. The drive might take around 2 hours, but along the way, you’ll make some stops for spotting animals.
The main attraction of Ngorongoro is its deep, volcanic crater, which is the world’s largest unflooded and unbroken caldera. It’s about 20 kilometers across, 600 meters deep, and covers 300 square kilometers—an awe-inspiring natural wonder. You’ll explore Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, famous for its black rhinos, flamingos, hippos, and other water birds.
You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive in the crater. In the evening, you’ll drive to the lodge for dinner and to spend the night. Today, we recommend leaving early so you can take advantage of the lodge facilities, including the swimming pool and beautiful view of Lake Manyara from the Lodge.
